Patrick Stead Hospital was the conversion of a late 19th-century hospital into six bespoke townhouses.

The project required a sensitive approach to design and construction, balancing the preservation of a historically significant building with the needs and expectations of modern residential living.

Prism’s role was to help reimagine the space without compromising the buildings identity, which meant navigating a complex technical design process that responded not only to the building’s fabric but also to conservation requirements.

Prism’s approach to detailing helped ensure that each townhouse offered the comfort and quality expected of a new-build home, while still retaining the charm and integrity of the original hospital.
